Welcome to the monthly Elan Inspired Wellness Newsletter. 

Through this e-newsletter, I aspire to share coaching, fitness, nutrition, and wellness related articles; exercises; healthy recipes; and inspirational stories of members following their hearts, dreaming big, overcoming obstacles, and challenging their boundaries in pursuit of leading vibrant and meaningful lives.

9 Steps to Revolutionize Your Fitness this Fall!
An invite to fitness in body, mind and spirit...
 
How often have you set a fall fitness goal and actually been successful in achieving it?  Of those times, how long did your success last? 
 
Welcome to fall, a time that marks the change of seasons, and with that, the change of our lives from fashion, to sleep patterns, daily activities, our nutrition, our waist lines, and among many others, our health and fitness goals. 

This fall I have an invitation for you... 
 
Should you accept, be warned that this invite has the potential to transform both your life and your way of being in the world.   Well beyond a quick and easy weight loss plan or fitness program, which focus on behavior change at a superficial level, I'm inviting you to a new way of being; a transformation and evolution in how you show up to your life. 
"The key to your success is to come at your
fitness & wellness from a place of inspiration, 
and to use your inspiration to fuel your motivation."
     
This is the ticket to a fit body, mind, and spirit, and to leading your most vibrant, joyful, and fittest life.  For the rest of your life. 
 
Using sheer will power alone to achieve your goals is a sure fire way to make them near impossible to achieve or to maintain for any length of time.  With inspiration fueling your motivation, say "goodbye" to quick and easy short term behavior change methods that rely on will power (and that all too often carry quick and fleeting results) and welcome an inspired life of:
 
Zest, vitality, inner peace, clarity, joy, and overall well-being. 
 
Warning...
 
There is no room in this transformation for negotiating your well-being with others or yourself.  You will need to hold your vision strong and clear, so that when external pressures or inner critics attempt to sway you off course (as they will), you can simply notice their presence, let them go, and get on with lighting up your life. 
 
Living an inspired life takes bold and courageous action.  Living an inspired life requires clarity on what lights you up, responsibility for one's own joy, and a commitment to choosing in favor of your passions.   
This goal is not only attainable, but within your reach. 
 
Broken down into small steps, and taken day by day, and moment by moment you will do exactly this: revolutionize your fitness... for life. 
 
Lighting up your life can be daunting, thrilling, and exciting, but does not need to feel like heavy grunt work.  The key to your success here is to come at your fitness/wellness goals from a place of inspiration, and to use your inspiration to fuel your motivation.   
 
As you have come as far as to be receiving this newsletter, I believe you are up for the task, so if you're ready, grab a pen and paper and let's get to the goods....

Inspired Living... Celebrating Members:
Gord Paterson
 
Retired pro-football athlete, current executive, husband, father, and scratch golfer, Gord celebrates his 59th birthday with a 40km ride out of Bragg Creek.  Above he takes in a water break before attacking the "big ascent".  Only days later, Gord won the long-drive competition at his golf course.   
 
At 59yrs of age, Gord is still top form and preparing for his first ever triathlon next summer. Wow!
 
Way to stay fit and live it up!
Karen McIntosh
 
Occupational therapist, creator of the "Krazy Box", wife, mother, grandmother, and "gardener supreme", Karen tends life above, and celebrates both a radiant and peaceful spirit, and the international launch of her "Krazy Box" (a  therapy toolkit for children) which she will present to OT's in Abu Dhabi this year.

Way to share yourself with the world PF!  

Myron Tetreault

Entrepreneur, philanthropist, husband, father of 4, and most recently "master athlete", Myron celebrates a phenomenal couple years of fitness firsts which include both the Boston Marathon, and more recently the "World Age Group Triathlon Championships" in Australia. 

Despite a bike crash leading to a broken collar bone at World's in OZ, Myron's spirit remains unscathed, and after recovery, Myron is set to begin preparing for Ironman France next year.
Way to roll with the punches Myron, and keep your dreams alive!
